Moving to a new place is feeling like beginning something new. Leaving the past behind and getting the chance to start your life again. It might be about the beautiful landscape that the new country has to offer. Or you might feel some kind of spiritual awareness; places where you feel connected to the land. Some places of this world are so jaw dropping beautifully that you even could cry. But there are many places where it is not obvious, where you have to seek deeper for God's beautiful creation. One of those places - and one of my favourites - was in a small town. It was a tree settled peacefully next to the beach. But to me it was not just a tree. To me it was a ‘Beacon of Nature’ and its declaration as a natural heritage was well deserved. By just looking at this tree with all its strong branches, its strong roots and its beautiful colours or by just touching its bark you could feel the energy from the tree surrounding you. You could feel oneness with nature again. A feeling that most of us used to have during childhood but have lost a long time ago. I was grateful to have felt that feeling again. But moving to a new place it’s also about the people. I still have a dream that there will be a place where everyone is being treated with respect, with a smile and without any prejudices. Then it doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich, old or young, ordinary or beautiful, disabled or in shape, black or white. No life should be better than the other. Life should not being measured by earning heaps of money, jumping to the next level of your career, driving a fancy car or complying with the beauty ideal. Life should be measured by respecting life. Why don’t we make an effort anymore to overcome the wall of prejudice, to see what is really behind the mask? A human being with all the fears and longings, all of which are quite similar worldwide; but the experiences can be so diverse and exciting that you can only learn from them. And I want to learn. I want to learn how to become one with nature. And I want to respect every aspect of life. Taking care of nature and sharing a little smile will cost you nothing; and yet, it can cause so many positive effects.
We should seek how we can also benefit out of this Corona crisis; how we can create something good out of it. For the first time since a long time nature and the whole planet is taking a deep breath. And actually I don't want to go back to the old egoistic, nature destroying system. Do you? I am ready to start something new, something better. This crisis can only be solved as we (which includes nature); not as me. Are you ready?
